Po Lin Monastery provide vegetarian food. Due time limited, I have not taste of it.

Afterwards, I took the bus to Tai O, it took about 10 minutes.

Tai O is located in the western part of Lantau Island. Long time before it is the most famous fishing village in Hong Kong. The Stilt Houses is one of the sign of Tai O, it is one of the most unique sights in Hong Kong, too.

Enter the village along Wing On Street.

First station, I came to the pier to take the boat out to the sea. If luckly we can see the Chinese white dolphin.

GOGOGO!

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and General Rock.

The right hand side is the famous General Rock. General Rock is a landmark of Tai O, shaped like a General rests on the stone.

The sea and the sky blend together.

Tai O Heritage Hotel. Below hotel is the Tai O Police Station and it is one of the earliest police stations built in the New Territories. It is situated on a small hill next to the Tai O Ferry Pier.
The building was revitalised and converted into the Tai O Heritage Hotel in 2012. The hotel includes nine colonial-style rooms and suites with sea views and a roof-top restaurant serving Tai O specialties. The surrounding cannons, searchlight and guard towers have all been restored --CLICK

Old captain and Stilt Houses

The Stilt Houses is the symbol of Tai O.100 years before, Tai O is HKG fishing village and soldier stay place. Salt is also one of the important place.

From begining Tai O is the gathering place of fishermen, due fishermen grow fast and lack of security for live in land. So Tai O people chose to build their house on the stilts. Under this situation, made Tai O to be a different kind of place.
